Ingredients (Serves 10)

Main Ingredients:

• 2 cakes of duck blood

• 2 packs of spicy, stinky tofu

• 3000cc stock

• 3 pieces of Dahongpao (omit if unavailable)

• 3 bell peppers (omit if unavailable)

• 5 dried chilies

• 3 slices of ginger

• 2 sticks of green onions

• 2 stalks of coriander

• 10 cloves of garlic

• Traditional Chinese medicine material package (about 100 yuan)

Spices:

• 2c cinnamon

• 1.5c chenpi

• 3 bay leaves

• 1q angelica dahurica

• 1q ligusticum chuanxiong

• 4c cumin

• 3c nutmeg (2 pieces)

• 2c white beans (2 pieces)

• 3c grass fruit (seeds removed)

• 2 tablespoons green pepper

• 2 tablespoons red pepper

• 2c star anise

• 6 slices of licorice

• 1c lilac

• 1q Amomum villosum

• 2 coins sannai

Rare Chinese Medicines (optional):

• 1q spicy nard

• 1 money spirit grass

• 1 money rowing grass

• 5c cumin

Seasonings:

• 3 tablespoons Haibawang Spicy Pot Bottom

• 1 tablespoon Zhuxian Doubanjiang

• 2 tablespoons rock sugar

• 200cc rice wine

• 100cc rice wine

• 1 tablespoon sesame oil

• 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Cooking Steps (30 minutes):

1. Material Preparation: Wash, drain, and air-dry the Chinese medicinal materials.

2. Cut duck blood into large pieces.

3. Prepare other ingredients: Slice ginger, mince coriander, cut green onions, and pat garlic into pieces.

4. Grind the Chinese medicinal materials into powder and blanch the duck blood until boiling, then drain.

5. In a pot, bring the stock to a boil and mix in the Chinese medicinal powder.

6. Add all prepared ingredients and seasonings to the pot, mixing well. Add spicy stinky tofu and bring it to a boil. Add the duck blood, reduce heat, and cook for 3 minutes before turning off the heat.

7. Finish by adding other desired ingredients, cooking briefly, and it’s ready to eat!

Note: This spicy hot pot soup base is intended for shabu-shabu, not for drinking directly. If you prefer to drink the broth, dilute it with hot water in a 1:2 ratio to balance the saltiness.

Measuring Tips:

• 1 tablespoon (1T) = 15ml

• 1 teaspoon (1t) = 5ml

• 1/2 teaspoon = 2.5ml

• 1/4 teaspoon = 1.25ml

• One cup = about 240cc
