Steamed Beef with Zucchini Slices
Light, healthy, and full of flavor—this steamed beef with zucchini features tender marinated slices over crisp zucchini, all gently steamed to perfection. Ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients:
- Beef – 200g (about 7 oz), thinly sliced
- Zucchini – 1 medium, thinly sliced
- Cornstarch – 1 tsp
- Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
- Cooking oil (neutral or baby-safe oil) – 1 tbsp
- Ginger slices – 2 to 3 pieces
- Salt – a pinch (optional, for prepping zucchini)
Instructions:
Marinate the Beef
In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with cornstarch, soy sauce, cooking oil, and ginger slices. Mix well by hand until evenly coated.Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
⚠️ Tip: Don’t use too much cornstarch—just enough to lightly coat the beef without making it sticky.

- Prepare the Zucchini
Wash the zucchini and slice it into thin, even pieces.
For extra crunch, sprinkle a small pinch of salt on the slices and let sit for a few minutes to draw out excess moisture. Then lightly pat dry. - Assemble the Dish
In a heat-safe bowl or plate, layer the zucchini slices on the bottom. Spread the marinated beef evenly over the top. - Steam the Dish
Place the bowl in a steamer over cold water.
Bring the water to a boil, then reduce to medium heat and steam for 10–12 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked.
Serving Tips:
- Serve warm, with rice or noodles.
- Optional: Garnish with chopped green onions or a drizzle of sesame oil for extra flavor.
