Delicious Dry Mala Hot Pot Made at Home

Combine sesame seeds, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili powder in one bowl. Mix salt, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and diluted sesame paste in another bowl. A homemade mala hot pot(Mala Xiangguo) is ready.

Combine sesame seeds, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili powder in one bowl. Mix salt, sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and diluted sesame paste in another bowl. A homemade mala hot pot(Mala Xiangguo) is ready.

Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

• 1 tablespoon of Sichuan peppercorns

• 1 tablespoon of chili powder

• 1 tablespoon of salt

• 1 tablespoon of sugar

• 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

• 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce

• 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

• 3 tablespoons of sesame paste (diluted with hot water)

• Hot oil to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare Bowl 1: In a bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, and 1 tablespoon of Sichuan peppercorns.

2. Add Hot Oil: Heat oil until hot, then pour it into Bowl 1 and stir quickly to release the fragrances.

3. Prepare Bowl 2: In another bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 3 tablespoons of sesame paste (diluted with hot water). Mix well.

4. Combine Bowls: Mix the contents of Bowl 1 with Bowl 2. Adjust the flavor to your liking by adding more sugar, vinegar, chili, or sesame oil as desired.

5. Prepare Vegetables: Wash and cut your favorite vegetables, cooking them in clean water, then set aside.

6. Add Noodles: Optionally, add your choice of noodles (vermicelli, instant noodles, etc.), cook them, and set them aside with the vegetables.
