Kid-Friendly Tomato Hot Pot: A Fun Family Meal

This tomato hot pot base serves four. Sauté tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, ginger, garlic, and scallions, then simmer with pork rib soup (or water) and season with salt and chicken powder. Perfect for pairing with meats and vegetables in a hot pot!

This tomato hot pot base serves four. Sauté tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, ginger, garlic, and scallions, then simmer with pork rib soup (or water) and season with salt and chicken powder. Perfect for pairing with meats and vegetables in a hot pot!

Ingredients:

• 2 tomatoes

• Half an onion

• Half a scallion

• 1 piece of ginger

• 3 garlic cloves

• 5 mushrooms

• 120-150g tomato hotpot base

• Salt and chicken powder (to taste)

Steps:

1. Prepare and chop the ingredients: dice the onion, slice the ginger and garlic, cut the scallion into sections, dice 1 tomato, slice the other, and halve the mushrooms.

2. Heat a pan with oil, add the diced tomatoes, onion, scallions, ginger, and garlic, and stir-fry until fragrant.

3. Incorporate the tomato hotpot base, stir well, and add half a bowl of water. Simmer for a few minutes.

4. Add the pre-cooked pork rib soup (or water if you don’t have soup) to the pan. Then, include the tomato slices and mushrooms. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and simmer. Season with salt and chicken powder to taste.

5. Serve the soup base and enjoy with your favorite meats and vegetables in the hot pot!
