Savory Taiwanese Beef Hotpot: A Culinary Adventure

I have been in Taiwan for 10 years and have half a Taiwanese stomach! Medicinal pots were initially unacceptable. Chinese medicine and soup are boiled together. How can the soup still have its original taste? But if you overeat, you will miss this taste. This is strange.

Ingredients

  • Beef brisket 500g
  • Some of each onion, ginger, and garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • White radish half-root
  • Spicy bean paste 1 tablespoon
  • soy sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Rock sugar half tablespoon
  • Braised Beef Brisket Chinese Medicine Packet 1 pack
  • Rice wine 300ml
  • 1 tomato

Step 1

This is a fantastic Taiwanese beef brisket. You don’t need to blanch it; wash it.

Prepare some side dishes: onions, ginger, garlic, carrots, white radish, and tomatoes.

Soak the braised buns in clean water for 20 minutes, then cook them in another pot.

Stir-fry ingredients, heat the pan, add onion, ginger, garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Add beef brisket and stir-fry.

Add spicy bean paste and continue stir-frying

Smell the aroma of bean paste and drink rice wine

When the aroma of rice wine comes out, add rock sugar and soy sauce, cover the pot, and simmer for a while

Pour into the boiled medicinal pot.

Add onions, carrots, and white radish and cook over low heat for 2 hours. Simmer in the pot for 2 hours until the beef is tender. Add salt to taste. Add vegetables, mushrooms, corn, triangular oil tofu, hot pot ingredients, and Taiwanese custom with sesame oil noodles. Line, that's it.

I had stuffed the pot with vegetables, so I put the lid on and turned off the heat.

This time, I used the medicine packets from Tainan Yishengtang; it was very delicious.
